park
is a
forest
surrounded
by farming
lands.
The
park
has
some
excellent
walking
tracks
with
great
views
and
birdwatching
while
in the
spring
there
are
stunning
wildflower
displays
to be
enjoyed.

Hill
End
is the
first
site
in Australia
to return
payable
gold
and
the
scene
of the
earliest
reef
mining.
Perched
on the
edge
of a
high
plateau
in the
Central
tablelands
the
village
remains
largely
untouched
by modern
development.
Camping
is available
at Glendora,
the
Village
or the
Trough
and
guided
tours
may
be arranged
from
the
Visitor
Centre.

area

mostly
cleared.
